How to Play
Everything you need to know to start playing Super Slime Soccer Online. From basic controls to advanced techniques, this guide covers it all.
Basic Controls
Super Slime Soccer uses keyboard controls for both players. Your slime moves along the ground and can jump into the air to headbutt the ball. Movement is smooth and momentum-based — your slime accelerates as you hold a direction and decelerates when you let go.
- 1.Player 1: Press A and D to move left and right. Press W to jump.
- 2.Player 2: Press Left Arrow and Right Arrow to move. Press Up Arrow to jump.
- 3.Your slime can only jump when touching the ground. Time your jumps carefully to meet the ball at the right height.
- 4.Movement speed is capped, so focus on positioning yourself under the ball rather than chasing it across the field.
- 5.You can customize key bindings in the Settings page.
Scoring Goals
Score by getting the ball into your opponent's goal. The ball bounces off your slime's head — the angle and speed of the bounce depend on where the ball hits you and how fast you are moving. Running into the ball adds your momentum to the shot, creating powerful hits.
- 1.Position yourself under the ball and let it bounce off the top of your slime to send it upward or forward.
- 2.The ball bounces in the direction of the contact angle — hitting it on the left side of your head sends it right, and vice versa.
- 3.For a power shot, run toward the ball as it makes contact. Your horizontal speed transfers into the ball, making it fly faster and harder to defend.
- 4.The ball slows down from air friction and bounces on the ground, so stronger hits travel further.
- 5.Special goal types are awarded for stylish plays: power goals for fast shots, speed goals for scoring quickly after the previous goal, and hat-tricks for scoring 3 in a row.
Special Abilities
Every slime (except Classic) has a unique special ability activated by pressing the ability key. Abilities consume mana and have a short cooldown between uses. Each ability behaves differently, so experimenting with different slimes is key to finding your playstyle.
- 1.Player 1 presses SPACE and Player 2 presses ENTER to activate their ability.
- 2.Projectile abilities (Archer arrows, Fireball, Cowboy revolver) fire objects that push or redirect the ball on contact.
- 3.Beam abilities (Ice frost beam, Fisher hook, Murder soul drain) create continuous effects that slow the ball, grab it, or drain your opponent.
- 4.Buff abilities (Runner sprint, Sponge grow, Maniac crazy mode) temporarily enhance your slime with extra speed, size, or power.
- 5.Field abilities (Cosmos black hole, Nature tree, Builder wall) place objects on the field that alter ball movement or block paths.
- 6.Summon abilities (Twin clone, Disco ball) create additional entities that interact with the ball.
- 7.Instant abilities (Alien teleport, Basket dunk, Clock time stop, Monk telekinesis) trigger an immediate powerful effect.
Mana System
Mana fuels your special abilities. Each slime has a mana bar that fills over time, and each ability has a specific mana cost. Managing your mana is a crucial part of strategy — deciding when to spend mana and when to save it can mean the difference between winning and losing.
- 1.Mana costs range from 2 (Builder wall) to 90 (Nature tree, Retro pixel power). Low-cost abilities can be used frequently, while expensive ones require patience.
- 2.Mana regenerates passively over time. The regeneration rate depends on the game mode.
- 3.In Bonus mode (used in Championship), you earn base mana plus extra mana while standing on your own half of the field. This rewards defensive positioning before launching an attack.
- 4.In Round mode, your mana resets to full (100) after each goal is scored, so feel free to spend it aggressively.
- 5.In Offensive mode, mana only regenerates while you are on your own side, forcing you to play defensively to earn ability charges.
- 6.Watch your opponent's mana bar too — if they just used an expensive ability, you have a window to attack while they are powerless.

Advanced Tips
Once you have the basics down, these tips will help you take your game to the next level.
- 1.Power shots are essential. Always try to run into the ball as you hit it. The added momentum makes your shots much harder to save and can lead to power goal celebrations.
- 2.Control the center. Positioning yourself near the middle of the field gives you options to attack or retreat. Avoid getting stuck in your own goal area.
- 3.Use abilities defensively too. While it is tempting to use abilities only for offense, many are even more effective on defense. A well-timed Builder wall or Ice frost beam can save a sure goal.
- 4.Watch the ball arc. The ball follows a predictable parabolic path affected by gravity and friction. Learn to read where it will land so you can be there waiting instead of chasing.
- 5.Bait and punish. In multiplayer, let your opponent commit to a jump or ability, then capitalize on their recovery time. Patience wins more games than aggression.
- 6.Match your slime to your style. Low-cost abilities like Sprint (5 mana) and Fireball (5 mana) can be used often for a fast-paced playstyle. High-cost abilities like Time Stop (70 mana) and Black Hole (50 mana) are powerful but require careful timing.
